Woodstock Furniture unveils new look

Customers of Woodstock Furniture are taking a whole new look now that the store has been completely renovated and updated, according to owners Scott and Bailey Honeycutt.
In an attempt to stay on the cutting edge with other furniture stores around the world, Woodstock has re-designed its store to look more modern.
Woodstock retained the services of a designer from Virginia, who came in and completely revamped the former factory area of the downstairs.
The bottom floor now features several new things: a gourmet coffee bar, with games for the kids and a television, a design area where customers can hand pick what fabrics they want on a particular piece of furniture, a new counter for the sale's staff, and a secluded mattress room in the back where people can quietly test out mattresses.
The renovations also include hardwood floors and stained concrete floors, and track lighting.
Woodstock has come a long way from its early 3,000 square feet, three-employee beginnings in 1978. Today the 25,000 square feet store employs 28 workers and still stands in its original location on top of a hill overlooking Hwy 39.
Gourmet coffee bar
The gourmet coffee bar provides an escape of sorts, for people who are not interested in shopping for furniture.
But don't think that coffee is the only thing the bar has to offer. It also offers bottled water, a television, and board games for the kids, or the kids at heart.
Design your
own furniture
The newest additions to the Woodstock also include state-of-the-art equipment. A computer is set up in the store that allows the customers to hand pick a furniture style and find a pattern to fit the furniture.
After the customer picks out what they want, then the furniture is created in the store's factory by hand.
