Services for Marguerite G. Davis will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Allen Dearing and Clay Chancellor officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis, 87, of Meridian, died Saturday, July 7, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice in Marion.
Survivors include two sons, Harlan L. Davis and his wife, Esta Nell and Kenneth S. Davis and his wife, Angela B., both of the Topton Community; a daughter, Jan LaRue and her husband, Jim of Naples, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jeff Davis and his wife, Donna, Brittany and Kayla Davis and Michelle LaRue all of Oxford; a great-grandchild, Lane Davis; a sister, Mathalie Gunn and a brother, J. Barney Gunn Jr. and his wife, Marge both of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H.L. "Red" Davis and a grandson, Patrick Davis.
Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home.

LUGOFF, S.C. Services for Donnie Anderson Scruggs will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Lugoff First Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Sweet officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Kornegay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Scruggs, 61, of Lugoff, died Saturday, July 7, 2001. She was an environmental service supervisor for the Kershaw County Medical Center and was a member of Lugoff First Baptist Church. She was born in Meridian, Miss.
Survivors include her husband, Ben E. Scruggs; two daughters, Lezli Scruggs Rabon and Jennifer Scruggs Rabon, all of Lugoff; a son, Alan Keith Scruggs of Ridgeway; four grandchildren, Steven Tyler McElveen, William Wesley Scruggs, Elliott Mason Rabon and Emalie Kate Rabon; two brothers, Gerald Anderson of Meridian and Roger Dale Anderson of Thomasville, Ala.
She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Elliott Scruggs; two brothers, Eugene Anderson and John Anderson and her parents, John Jacob and Ruthie Felton Anderson.
The family requests memorials be made to the Lugoff First Baptist Church Building Fund, 106 Longtown Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29078.
Visitation will be Monday from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at Kornegay Funeral Home Lugoff Elgin Chapel.

WASHINGTON, D.C. Graveside services for Elizabeth "Bettie" Bartels will be held Friday at 9 a.m. at Arlington National Cemetery with Joseph Gawler's Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bartels, 73, of Meridian, Miss., died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was retired from BellSouth, was a member of Telephone Pioneers and the Jimmie Rodgers Foundation.
Survivors include four brothers, Milton Snow and his wife, Joan, of Conventry, R.I., Donald Snow and his wife, Ginger, Russell Snow and Kenny Snow, all of North Kinston, R.I.; three sisters, Beverly Mann and her husband, Robert, of Exeter, R.I., Cynthia Lipscomb of Lynchberg, Va. and Shirly Snow of Rhode Island.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bertha Snow; a sister, Judy Martin and a brother, Robert C. Snow Jr.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society and the American Lung Association.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home in Meridian.
