Many of the faces are the same, but titles have changed for administrative personnel at Meridian Community College.
The board of trustees approved the new structure at a Tuesday meeting.
Dr. Tommy McDonald, formerly vice president of student services, is now vice president of operations. In this capacity McDonald will be in charge of instructional and student services.
Pam Harrison, who was MCC's business manager, is now vice president of finance. She will be in charge of the business office, technology, including all computing services and telecommunications, the physical plant, including grounds and maintenance and auxiliary enterprises, such as the college's book store and cafeteria.
Shirley Nell Goodman, who was dean of occupational education, is now executive dean for workforce education. She will be the administrator of the college's occupational programs and the Webb Center, which is used for customized workforce training. Workforce education will fall under McDonald's supervision.
Bill Crawford, formerly vice president of business and community development, was formerly in charge of the Webb Center. His resignation was accepted by the board last month.
McDonald is heading a search committee to find a replacement for Ann Dowdle, director of institutional advancement. Dowdle, who oversees the MCC Foundation, will be retiring at the end of December. Elliott said the new director will continue to report directly to him.
Other personnel matters handled by the board included accepting the following resignations: Renee Chambers, child development instructor; Sally Widen, Webb Center secretary; Felicia Catching, Thornton Hall supervisor; and Russell McNickle, head baseball coach.
The board hired Michael Federico, assistant baseball coach, to replace McNickle. New personnel approved for employment included: Chad Cailett, assistant baseball coach; Walter Patton Jr., equipment specialist; Clint Wilkerson, computer technologist; Reza Bazyari, general maintenance; Sheri Anders, health education counselor; Patsy Rodgers, single parent coordinator; Julie Herrington, economics instructor; Jason Jones, recruiter; Jerome Moffitt, groundskeeper; and Jerome Rackley, Residence Hall supervisor.
