Peden, Burden

Martha Jane Stennis of DeKalb announces the engagement of her daughter, Nancy Lee Peden, to Bradley Deaton Burden, both of Greenwood.
Miss Peden is also the daughter of the late Col. Roger Lee Peden of Ennis, Texas. Mr. Burden is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Harmon Burden of Greenwood.
Vows will be exchanged at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2001, at New Hope United Methodist Church.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam D. Stennis of DeKalb; Nan McKay of Ennis and the late Edgar M. Peden of DeKalb.
Miss Peden is a graduate of Brandon High School and received a degree in education from Mississippi State University, Meridian campus. In 1988, she was named to Who's Who Among American Women. She is employed by Agri-Alliance/Croplan.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Vardaman Burden of Carrollton and the late Mr. and Mrs. L.R. Deaton of Minter City.
Mr. Burden is a graduate of Greenwood High School and received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Mississippi.
He is a fourth-degree knight and serves as state chairman for the mentally handicapped fund-raising with the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Burden is employed by the State of Mississippi State Auditor's office.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend. No local invitations will be sent.
