Local Miss Hospitality to compete in state program

Catherine Scarlett Monsour, Meridian/Lauderdale County's 2001 Miss Hospitality, will travel to Hattiesburg to compete for the title of Mississippi's Miss Hospitality July 22-28.
Monsour is the daughter of Charles and Cathy Monsour. She is a 1996 graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School, where she was a cheerleader and Dance Squad captain; named a Top 5 Beauty for three years; and a member of FCA.
She recently graduated from Meridian Community College, where she was a marketing major and member of Phi Theta Kappa.
Contestants from across the state will compete in several categories, including interview, speech, evening gown, and black dress. Competition begins early in the week at the Saenger Theatre in downtown Hattiesburg, with spectators allowed to attend the final two nights of the program.
