Gardner, Carmichael

Mr. and Mrs. Paul G. Swartzfager III of Hattiesburg and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny R. Gardner of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Sara Susann' Gardner, to Fredie Videt Carmichael Jr., son of Sen. and Mrs. Videt Carmichael of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, July 21, 2001, at 4 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church.
Miss Gardner is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Robinson of Memphis, Tenn.; Mrs. John C. Gardner of Meridian and the late Mr. Gardner.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Hattiesburg High School and received an associate's degree in broadcast communication technology from Meridian Community College. She currently attends Mississippi State University, Meridian Branch.
Miss Gardner is campus life coordinator at Meridian Community College.
Mr. Carmichael is the grandson of Virgie Smith and Mrs. William F. Carmichael, both of Meridian, and the late Mr. Carmichael.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Clarkdale Attendance Center and received an associate's degree in broadcast communication technology from Meridian Community College. He currently attends Mississippi State University, Meridian Branch.
Mr. Carmichael is a staff writer with The Meridian Star.
A reception will be held at the church's Family Life Center following the ceremony.
