Baseball
John Moss Fall Baseball: registration for ages 14-17 is going on now until Aug. 18. Registration forms may be picked up at Judge Little. The $35 registration fee is due upon sign-up. Basketball
Hoops Summer Slam: 3-on-3 basketball double elimination tournament, sponsored by the Tupelo Parks and Recreation Department, will be held July 21 and 28 at the Front Street Courts. There is no registration fee, with teams registering at 4:30 p.m. each day and action beginning at 5 p.m. There are age groups for boys, girls, men and women. Duathlon
Lake Lowndes State Park: in Columbus will host a the 9th Annual Lake Lowndes Duathlon Aug. 18 beginning at 8 a.m. Distances are a two mile run, 13 mile bike ride and another two mile run. Early entry fee is $20 with registration the day of the race $25. For more information, call 662-328-2110.

Softball
USSSA Class D: State tournament will be held Aug. 11 at the Laurel Sportsplex. USSSA Core 47 Worth balls will be used only. For more information, call Larry Green at 601-428-8851.
Swimming
Meridian Swim Association is offering Meridian Swim School for beginner swimmers of all ages. Two weeks sessions beginning July 23 will introduce children to the pool and swimming. Masters Swimming: is open to swimmers 18 and over, triathletes and those who love to swim. Sessions are currently meeting Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:30-8 a.m. and Monday thru Friday from 4-6 p.m. at the Highland Park Pool. For more information, call 604-1440 or 693-5496.
Tennis
Meridian Area Tennis Association: will host the Blue Yodeler NTRP Classic July 20-22 at the North East Tennis Center. Entry fee for the adult tournament is $25 for singles and $36 for doubles. For more information, contact Dave Trebisky at 483-3526.
