Mr. and Mrs. William W. Brackeen of Hickory announce the engagement of their daughter, Leslie Lea, to Jason Coleman Eason, son of Dr. and Mrs. Randy D. Eason of Forest.
A family wedding ceremony will be held on Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, at Sand Springs Baptist Church.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jacqueline Galloway and the late James Galloway and Mr. and Mrs. William Brackeen, all of Hickory.
After graduating from Newton County High School, Lea obtained an associates degree from East Central Community College. She received a bachelor's degree in educational psychology from Mississippi State University. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in school psychology at MSU.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Heard of Decatur and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Eason of Hickory.
He is a graduate of Forest High School and received an associates degree from East Central Community College. Mr. Eason is currently attending Mississippi State University, where he will graduate in December with a bachelor's degree in landscape contracting.
A reception will be held at the Newton Depot at 7:30 p.m. following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend the reception.
