LESLIE LEWIS SCARBROUGH
Mason, World War II veteran
Services for Leslie Lewis Scarbrough will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Raley officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Scarbrough, 90, of Morton, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Scarbrough of Morton; three sons, Darrell Scarbrough and Danny Scarbrough, both of Meridian, and David Scarbrough of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, Percy Scarbrough of Meridian; two stepchildren, Dee Purvis of Pokeville and Gordon Smith of Magee; seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ouida Brantley Scarbrough.
Pallbearers will be Darren Scarbrough, Keith Scarbrough, William Smith, James Jones, Marion Lee Grayson and Tony Vick.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Lorine Smith Barrett will be held today at 3 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. Dwight Fleming and Charles Pierce Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery.
Mrs. Barrett, 84, of Meridian, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001, at Personal Care Home in Meridian. She was born and raised in Neshoba County and had lived the last 41 years in Meridian. She was retired from East Mississippi State Hospital after 23 years of service. Mrs. Barrett was a member of Arlington Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Edith Mae Gardner and her husband, James, of Meridian, and Ginger Chapin and her husband, Fred, of Summerville, S.C.; a son, John Barrett and his wife, Edna, of Utica; a sister, Pauline Stewart of Meridian; a brother, Johnny Smith of Yakima, Wash.; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nephews, nieces and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Barrett and a son, Wayne Barrett.
Pallbearers will be Mike Parker, George Parker, Steve Parker Sr., Steve Parker Jr., John Wayne Barrett and Sid Mathis.

BUTLER, Ala. Services for Helen Jane Ward will be held today at 2 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eric Hattaway officiating. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery.
Mrs. Ward, 62, of Ocean Springs, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, in Biloxi.
Survivors include a son, Marion Arthur "Bubba" Ward III of Pennington; three daughters, Rachel Ward Evans of Waynesboro, Rebecca Carol Ward of Ocean Springs and Lori Jane Ward of Meridian; a brother, Jerry Knight of Melvin; and two grandchildren.
NAOMA M. SHEPHERD

PHILADELPHIA Services for Naoma M. Shepherd will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Bethsaida Baptist Church with the Revs. Robert Edmonds and Larry Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Bethsaida Cemetery with McClain-Hays Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Shepherd, 72, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, at the Neshoba County Nursing Home.
Survivors include her husband, Barney Shepherd of Philadelphia; three sons, Barry Shepherd of Houston, Texas, Mitch Shepherd of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jeff Shepherd of Philadelphia; four sisters, Ruth Inman of Jacksonville, Jean Edmonds of Johnson City, Tenn., Bettye Black of Houston, Texas, and Shirley Cate of Kodak, Tenn.; a brother, Paul Meadows of Maryville, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for James T. Farrow, 64, of Hickory, who died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
