The Rev. Eugene Smith and Bertha Barney, both of Meridian, announce the engagement of their daughter, Doritha to Kevin, son of Wanda Terrell and Roosevelt Anderson, both of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, August 18, 2001, at 3 p.m. at Alpha and Omega Holiness Church in Toomsuba.
Miss Smith is the granddaughter of the late Alice Mae O'Field and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Smith.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School and attended Meridian Community College.
Miss Smith is employed by Greater Meridian Health Clinic.
Mr. Bryant is the grandson of Ola Virginia Bryant of Toomsuba and the late Robert Lee Bryant and Mary Anderson.
The bridegroom-elect attended Northeast Lauderdale and is a graduate of TDI Institute of Gulfport.
Mr. Bryant is employed by Werner Enterprise.
A reception will be held at the Meridian Jaycees hall following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
