Leia DeAnne Agnew and David E. Driggers III were united in marriage on Saturday, May, 26, 2001, at Fellowship Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jimmy Williams officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John L. Agnew of Collinsville, Janet Donald of Centerhill, and David E. Driggers of Texas.
The bride is the granddaughter of Margie Carpenter of Collinsville and the late Thad Carpenter; Louise Bradley of Meridian and the late Ben Agnew.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Helen Spivey of Centerhill and the late Bill Spivey and the late David and Peggy Driggers.
Nuptial music was provided by Robyn Davis, soloist.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory Dulciana satin strapless gown featuring a beaded Venise lace bodice, princess line skirt and detachable cathedral-length train. Elbow-length satin gloves with beaded cuffs and a beaded headband with a two tier illusion veil falling to elbow-length enhanced her gown. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses wrapped and tied with satin ribbons.
Tarah Williams of Meridian was maid of honor. Gayla Buchanan of Collinsville, sister of the bride, served as matron of the honor. Bridesmaids were Kim Thompson of Meridian, Brittany Donald of Centerhill, sister of the bridegroom, and Rachelle Agnew of Jacksonville, Fla., niece of the bride.
Timothy Buchanan of Collinsville, brother-in-law of the bride, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jason Hall and Scott Young, both of Meridian, David Agnew of Jacksonville and John Agnew III of Henderson, Nev., both brothers of the bride, served as ushers.
Meagan Scarbrough served as register attendant and Heather Burt was program attendant. Taylor Cumberland of Meridian and Amanda Mackey of Columbus were bubble girls.
A celebration and reception was hosted by the bride's parents following the ceremony at Briarwood Country Club. Attendants were Lisa Scarbrough, Rhonda Burt, Renee Vance and Lori Wimberly, cousins of the bride.
After a wedding trip to Florida, the couple resides in Meridian.
