A Meridian police officer was involved in a two-car collision Friday as he exited Interstate 20 onto 22nd Avenue.
Lt. Wade Johnson of the Meridian Police Department said the accident occurred at about 11:35 a.m.
The patrol cruiser, driven by Officer Cloist Jemison, was leaving I 20 westbound on the ramp and was involved in a collision with a 1994 white Chevrolet driven by Tomeka Brown, Johnson said.
He said Brown and two passengers were transported by private vehicle to Riley Hospital, where they were treated and released. Jemison was not injured.
He said no further details were available pending the investigation.
