C. JAMES COODY
GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for C. James Coody were held Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Gilbertown Cemetery.
Mr. Coody, 66, of Gilbertown, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2001, in Meridian.
Survivors include his mother, Velma Coody of Gilbertown; his wife, Mary Coody of Gilbertown; two sons, Claudy "Skeeter" Coody of Land and Jimmy B. Coody of Butler; two daughters, Therese C. Turner of Pine Mill and Karen C. Mosley of Butler; four brothers, Newton Coody, Bud Coody, Franklin Coody and Norman Coody all of Gilbertown and three sisters, Martha Diamond, Vernell Cooper and Margaret Moore, all of Gilbertown; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nylon Coody and a sister, Willie Maude Turner.
Retired garment inspector
PHILADELPHIA Services for Anita Adcock will be held today at 2 p.m. at Coy United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Branning officiating. Burial will be in Coy Cemetery in Preston with McClain-Hays Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Adcock, 68, of Macon, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus. She was a retired garment inspector.
Survivors include her husband, John Adcock of Macon; a son, Kendall Adcock of Madison; three grandsons and a brother, L.D. McDonald of Preston.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark Adcock, in 1953.
DEANNA BURTON HEDGPETH
PHILADELPHIA Services for Deanna Burton Hedgpeth will be held today at 2 p.m. at John E. Stephens Chapel with the Revs. John Stephens and Keith Copeland officiating. Burial will be in Ocobla Cemetery.
Mrs. Hedgpeth, 36, of Philadelphia, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2001, at her home. She was a registered nurse.
Survivors include her husband, Joey Hedgpeth of Philadelphia; two daughters, Auburn Hedgpeth and Abby Hedgpeth, both of Philadelphia; her mother, Ruth Burton of Philadelphia; three sisters, Diann Kennedy of Byram, Donna Jensen and her husband, Tommy, of Navarre, Fla., and Debra Burton of Philadelphia; three brothers, Dewey O. Burton Jr. and Daniel C. Burton and his wife, Crystal, both of Philadelphia and David K. Burton and his wife, Kim of Union.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dewey Olen Burton Sr. on Sept. 10, 1997.
BARBARA S. KILPATRICK
PHILADELPHIA Services for Barbara S. Kilpatrick will be held today at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Chapel with the Rev. Dwight Faulkenbery officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Kilpatrick, 57, of Philadelphia, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2001, at her home. She was a floral designer.
Survivors include a son, Willis Kilpatrick Jr. of Philadelphia; three grandchildren; her mother, Velma Spears of Philadelphia; two sisters, Mollie S. Stokes of Philadelphia and Juanie Kent of Vicksburg and two brothers, Paul Spears and Matthew Spears, both of Philadelphia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Kilpatrick Sr., in 1999.
