Ishee, Farmer

Kelly Michelle Farmer of Meridian and John Patrick Ishee of Quitman were married Saturday, June 23, 2001, at Highland Baptist Church with Dr. Carl White officiating. The Rev. Mark Thead charged the couple with a special prayer.
Parents of the couple are Mike and June Farmer of Meridian and Gerry and Brenda Ishee of Quitman.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Mr. and Mrs. William Farmer and the late Mr. and Mrs. Toxey McMahan.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Ishee and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thead.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Joann Grantham, organist; Tammy Miles, pianist; Carl White, Franklin and Shellie Denham, vocalists.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white three piece Duchess satin gown. The corselet top was embroidered with rocals, bugle beads and crystals. The skirt and train were edged with the same rich detail. Her headpiece, a band of seed pearls, held two tiers of illusion.
Maid of honor was Lana Jackson of Brandon. Matron of honor was Ashley Talbert of Southaven.
Other attendants were Shellie Denham, Jennifer Lagendijk and Jennifer Neal, all of Meridian, Kimberly Dockery of Cullman, Laurie Ellzey of Laurel and Angie Hamrick of Enterprise.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Keith Farmer and Jamie Lagendijk, both of Meridian, David Mayo of Shubuta, Matt Mayo of Quitman, Greg Pettigrew of Decatur and Curtis Schrimpshire of Quitman.
Handing out bells were Victoria Robinson and Nolan Robinson. Program attendants were Jamie Lagendijk and Caroline Kennard.
A reception was held at Highland Family Life Center following the ceremony. Tea gentlemen were Robert Compton, E.D. Delashmet, Carl Laughlin, Henry Palmer, Timothy Snowden and Joe Wilkerson.
After a cruise to the Western Caribbean, the couple resides in Pachuta.
