Heather Marie Bingham of Buckatunna and Amos Lee Feather Jr. of Butler, Ala., were married Saturday, July 14, 2001, at Zion Rest Baptist Church in Buckatunna.
The ceremony was performed by the bride's grandfather, the Rev. Thomas Bingham Sr. The Rev. Russell Wray of Butler recited scripture.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bingham Jr. of Buckatunna and Mr. and Mrs. Amos Feather Sr. of Butler.
Grandparents of the bride are the Rev. and Mrs. Thomas Bingham Sr. of Forest Home, Ala. and Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Runnels of Buckatunna.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Feather Sr. of Clarksdale, Mrs. William Stafford Sr. and the late Mr. Stafford.
Music was provided by Lin Sullivan, pianist; Jane Dees and Mike Robert, soloists.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white satin. Crystal beads accentuated the spaghetti straps and embellished the bodice of the gown, which featured a fitted waistline complementing a full skirt with a court train. Her fingertip veil was adorned with a matching headpiece. She carried a nosegay of Victorian lilac roses.
Cynthia Dees of Buckatunna served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Deidre Bingham of Buckatunna, sister of the bride, Debbie Feather Seybold of Hoover, Ala., sister of the bridegroom, Becky Jordan of Buckatunna and Cortney Bingham of Millry, Ala., cousin of the bride.
Rebecca Feather of Tuscaloosa, Ala., daughter of the bridegroom, and Kade Bingham of Buckatunna, son of the bride, served as miniature bride and bridegroom. Michelle Britton attended the guest register.
Brittany, Constance and Shelby Mashburn of Buckatunna were flower girls.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Raymond Rowell of Gilbertown, Ala., Michael Britton of Athens, Ga., Joseph Britton of Waynesboro and Lonnie Bingham of Millry. Edwin Parker of Slidell, La., served as ring bearer.
A reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Assisting were Rachael Johnson, Cindy Runnels, Kelly Clements, Shannan Gaston and Jean Lindsey.
After a honeymoon in Fort Morgan, Ala., the couple resides in Birmingham.
