Meridian Taekwondo students win big at area tournament

Nearly 50 students from Meridian Taekwondo Academy completed in a Taekwondo Tournament recently in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The tournament had over 500 competitors from Meridian, Jackson,Hattiesburg, Montgomery, Huntsville, Tuscaloosa and Northport.
Meridian students brought home trophies in Forms, Sparring and Free-Design Forms competition. Head Instructor, Heath Riggs said, "I was really proud of every student. They gave it their all. We brought home a lot of gold and a lot of smiles too."
Members of the Academy are, Heath Riggs, Corey Kell, Josh Wilson, Levi Dailey, Christopher Waldron, Kirby French, Taylor Hanna, Paige Hanna and Steven Hunter; Alaxander Lee, Stefany Wilson, Aaron Ng, Corey Weckerling, Seth Mitchell, Kyle Espey, Logan Cole, Anothy Weckerling, James Cranmore and Jessica Cranmore; Amber Jenkins, Seth Wright, Trey Mitchell, Philip Creighton, Dustin Wondrick, Tyler Cole and Pete Kowall.
