A group of local investors officially takes over Weidmann's Restaurant today at 2 p.m. when the business closes its doors for six to nine months for renovations.
Chancellor has run the business for the past 20 years with her husband "Pooh." Today she will say goodbye to 35 employees and a family tradition.
The group of investors called the "Weidmann's Square Group," is headed up by local businessmen Fred Wile, Bruce Martin and Miles Frank. They plan to make the restaurant a centerpiece for downtown revitalization.
