Shannon LeAnne Johnson of Meridian and Robert "Bobby" Timothy Jones of Enterprise were married Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, at Clarkco State Park, with the Rev. Mike Powell officiating.
Parents of the couple are Travis and Peggy King of Meridian, P.J. Johnson of Mobile, Ala., Tim and Connie Brister of Enterprise and Pamela and Jamie Franklin of Stonewall.
Grandparents of the bride are Emory and Gloria Thomas Ohatchee, Ala., Kathryn Thomas of Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Johnson of Mobile.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Katherine Jones.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Katie Johnson, soloist; and P.J. Johnson, sound system attendant.
The bride was given in marriage by her stepfather. She wore a full-length ivory gown of bridal satin accented at the waistline by seed pearls and a chapel-length train. Her ivory veil fell from a comb of seed pearls and flowers. The veil belonged to her aunt, Kathy Akridge of Munford, Ala.
Maid of honor was Katie Johnson, sister of the bride. Flower girl was Haven Lan of Enterprise, daughter of the bride. Rebecca King of Causeyville, stepsister of the bride, carried the bride's train.
Best man was Percy Chandler. Ring bearer was William King of Causeyville, stepbrother of the bride. Ushers were David Kyle Johnson of Meridian and Tait Brister of Enterprise.
A outdoor reception was held at a pavilion in the park following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Kathy Akridge, Gloria Thomas, Kathryn Thomas, Mae Warren and Syble Morgan. Bubbles were provided for the guests at the reception.
The couple resides in Enterprise.
