PHILADELPHIA Services for Edna Ryals were to be held today at 10 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Don Savell officiating. Burial was to be in Arlington Cemetery.
Mrs. Ryals, 92, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, at Neshoba County Nursing Home.
Survivors include two sons, Otis Ryals of Philadelphia and Sanford Ryals of DeKalb; a sister, Mavis Brown of Shreveport, La.; a brother, Odis D. Ingram of Natchez; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Ryals.
NOLAN DEE BURRIS
BROOKHAVEN Services for Nolan Dee Burris were to be held today at 10 a.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was to in Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Burris, 57, of Meridian, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Jarmin Burris, a stepson, Steve Moody and a stepdaughter, Melissa Moody, all of Meridian; a brother, Kenney Burris of St. Francisville; his mother, Delores Peavy Burris of Brookhaven; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nolan Burris and a brother, Bruce Burris.
JEWELL NEWTON COKE

Services for Jewell Newton Coker will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Ralph Henson officiating. Burial will be in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Coker, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, at Queen City Nursing Center. She was a member of Arrowood Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Hubert Coker, a daughter, Judy Creel and her husband, Tony, grandchildren, Shannon, Bayleigh and Kelsey Creel, all of Meridian; two sisters, Myrtis Williams and her husband, Hershel, of Martin and Helen Spivey of Center Hill.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

DEKALB Services for Jack "Lamar" Nelson will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. E.E. McDonald officiating. Burial will be in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Nelson, 73, of DeKalb, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, at Neshoba General Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Nelson of DeKalb; two daughters, Georgia Mae Chamberlin and Cornelia Nelson, both of Chicago; a son, Larry Grady of DeKalb; two sisters, Olivia Houston of Saginaw, Mich. and Lorene Nelson of Chicago; four brothers, Andrew Nelson and his wife, Hester Lee, T.J. Nelson, Albert Nelson and Rufus Nelson, all of Chicago; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by four siblings and a son.
Visitation will be today from noon-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
