The Lauderdale County Humane Society once again will offer pet adoptions at Bonita Lakes Mall.
Puppies and kittens will be available for adoption in the mall near the J.C. Penney entrance.
There were no kittens available at the first event. However, organizers said kittens will be available today.
Humane society officials and volunteers said they appreciate Bonita Lakes Mall for letting them stage the pet adoption program.
The humane society relies on volunteers to house unwanted animals. Interested families have often had difficulty finding out how to adopt the animals.
Organizers said they believe events like the one today is good until a permanent shelter can be found.
White said the mall hopes to continue working with the humane society to match families and pets.
White and Lee said that unwanted pets should not be dropped off at the mall on Saturday.
