Jamanda Walker of Lawrence and Corey Huber of Hattiesburg were married Saturday, July 21, 2001, at First Baptist Church of Newton with the Rev. Dr. Frank Harmon officiating.
Parents of the couple are George and Lynn Walker of Lawrence, Kent Huber of Petal and Laura Morgan of Hattiesburg.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Hershell and Mary Lee Glaze of Newton and the late Mack Henry and Geneva Walker of Hickory.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Charles and Mary Joyce Huber and Buck and Lois Mann. He is the great-grandson of Van and Cora Chambers, all of Hattiesburg.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Jeff Hardy, pianist; Josh Bamberg, trumpeter; George Hedgepeth, Janet Hedgepeth, Amanda McMillan and Laura McMillan, vocalists.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her feather, the bride wore a halter beaded sleeveless princess line white satin gown. The bodice and hemline were embellished with hand beaded re-embroidered lace and Venise lace flowers continuing into a cathedral-length train. Her two-tiered veil of illusion was edged with satin ribbon and held by a headpiece of fresh water pearls covered in lace.
Jenna Tune attended the bride as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Bamberg, Leslie Brackeen, Kristi Brown, Lorriane Huber and Stephanie Huber, sisters of the bridegroom, Amanda McMillan and Laura Wilson.
Flower girls were Elizabeth Glaze of Ridgeland and Marianna Glaze of Ellisville, cousins of the bride.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Daniel Carney, Caleb Huber, brother of the bridegroom, Anthony Jordan, Ray Logan, cousin of the bridegroom, Shaun Malone, Wesley Malone and Jason Walker, brother of the bride. Ushers were Toby Cooper and Brock Philips.
Ring bearers were Andrew Glaze of Ridgeland and Jonathan Glaze of Ellisville, cousins of the bride.
Presiding at the guest registry was Audrey Harralson. Program attendants were Christopher Glaze of Ellisville and Tyler Glaze of Ridgeland, cousins of the bride.
A reception was held in the Family Life Building following the ceremony. Servers were Jessica Carr, Misty Harrel, Jenny Horton and Amanda West.
After a honeymoon in Fort Walton, Fla., the couple resides in Starkville.
