In recent years of her lifelong ministry, Meridian resident Sara Gibson has focused on the power of Jesus' resurrection. Where most emphasis on the subject ends at the cross, Gibson's focus begins at that point.
In her debut publication "After the Cross: Knowing Jesus in the Power of His Resurrection," addresses the subject, which she considers a special assignment from above.
In "After the Cross," Gibson discusses the part of the gospel where Jesus has defeated Satan and has all authority.
The book includes 23 chapters set in four parts: What It Means to Know Jesus in the Power of His Resurrection; What Jesus Has Done For Us On The Cross (The Sevenfold Sacrifice of Christ on Calvary); What Jesus Is Doing For Us Now (The Sevenfold Ministry of Jesus, Our High Priest; and God's Hidden Agenda.
While "After the Cross" is Gibson's first published book, it is just one of many more in the works.
Gibson's vision for her current book was two-fold: To make it easy to understand and to go into every stream of Christianity.
According to Gibson, pride is anything that exalts itself against God, such as worry or fear.
Gibson has had several book signings locally and throughout the state since "After the Cross" debuted in early spring. Response has been positive thus far and future books are planned.
In addition to her recent publication, Gibson continues to minister through appearances throughout the country and abroad, as well as her Sunday morning television program "Sara Gibson Proclaims," which airs on WMDN-TV.
