Services for Aubry "Benny" Fornea were held Friday, Oct. 5, at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Brett Cooper and Roger Ivy officiating. Burial was in New Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery in Picayune.
Mr. Fornea, 53, of Rose Hill, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Bassett Fornea of Rose Hill; a daughter, Terri Lynn Herrington and her husband, Jason, of Hattiesburg; his mother, Ethel Fornea of Rose Hill; two brothers, Eugene Fornea and his wife, Sarah, of Duluth, Minn., and Richard Fornea and his wife, Robbi, of Katy, Texas; nieces, Dessie Fornea of Duluth, Nikki Fornea of Katy, Kathy Acquino of Redding, Pa., and Jonnie Heany of Pottstown, Pa.; a nephew, Adam Fornea of Duluth; a stepsister, Linda Zeleynick of Douglasville, Pa.; aunts, Helen Sohn of Sinking Springs, Pa., Bettie Parker of New Orleans, and Willie G. King and her husband, Roger, of Poplarville; several cousins and his extended family, Joe and Paula Partin of Enterprise and Casey Boone of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by his father, Aubry C. Fornea.

BUTLER, Ala. Services for Mitchell Walters will be held Tuesday at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Franklin McLelland and Denton Sumrall officiating. Burial was in Butler Cemetery.
Mr. Walters, 94, of Starkville, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at Oktibbeha County Hospital.
Survivors include a son, Mickey Walters and his wife, Maureen Porter Walters, of Meridian; three daughters, Imelda Besh and her husband, Ted, of Slidell, La., Greta Bryan and her husband, Dolph, and Maureen Gibson, all of Starkville; a sister, Ida Mae Sumrall of Meridian; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
TIMOTHY BRYCE WHITHAM

SEBASTOPOL Services for Timothy Bryce Whitham were held Tuesday at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church with the Rev. Doby Henry officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Whitham, 19, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001.
Survivors include his father, Daniel Whitham of Dayton, Ohio; his mother, Rowena Alex, two sisters, Gretcher Hickman and Rheannon Hickman, a brother, William Matthias Hickman, maternal grandparents, Mary Sue Willis and Reginald Willis, all of Philadelphia; and his paternal grandmother, JoAnn Whitham of Greenville, Ohio.
GEORGIA MARIE MCKENNA

MACON Services for Georgia Marie McKenna will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jerry Zgarba and Pattie Kemp officiating. Burial will be in Moore Cemetery.
Ms. McKenna, 37, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, in Jackson.
Survivors include her mother, Wanda Cade Redus of Jackson; two sisters, Janice Thompson of Clinton and Cindy Hughes of Columbus; two brothers, Brandon Redus and P.J. Redus of Jackson; her paternal grandmother, Margaret Redus and her maternal grandmother, Georgia Lee Cade, both of Brooksville.
She was preceded in death by her father, George E. "Buster" Redus.
Visitation will be today from 6:30 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
JACK BRYCE BATES
Retired owner of Bates Steel Fabricators
Services for Jack Bryce Bates will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church with the Revs. Dr. Carl White and Ron McGee officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bates, 83, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at the Speciality Hospital of Meridian. He was a resident of Meridian since 1952 and an active member of Highland Baptist Church.
