The Clarkdale High School boys basketball team finished last season with a 9-18 overall record.
Despite losing three of last year's starters the Bulldogs bring back two starters and a new head coach. Ronald Boles takes the reins of the Bulldogs with 25 years of coaching experience.
From last year the Bulldogs lost small-forward Richard Matthews, power-forward Anthony Holiday, and center Jamie Follaway.
The Bulldogs return two of last year's starters in senior point guard Bryant Gaddis and junior guard Brandon Mabry.
The three other starting positions will most likely be taken up by senior forward Chris Reeves, junior center Rocky Kirksey, and junior power forward Matt Tucker.
Tucker stands at 6-foot-4 while Kirksey looms at a menacing 6-foot-7.
Rounding out the Bulldog roster are junior point guard Josh Graves, sophomore forward Bryan Tomerlin, sophomore guard Dieon Henley, sophomore forward Scott Dawkins, sophomore forward Quinton Walker, freshman guard Cedric Burns, freshman center Scott Benson, and freshman forward Michael Steel.
The Bulldogs will face tough competition from such 5-2A competition as William Sullivan and South Leake.
Clarkdale up its season on Monday night with a 60-58 win and is playing in its own Tip-Off Tournament this week.
