Thursday: The St. Paul's Chamber Series continues Thursday at the Parish Hall at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
The program starts at 12:05 p.m.
Kristofer Johnson, a tenor, and Christopher Pankratz while perform during the program. Pankratz plays the piano.
Thursday: Meridian Community College's Phi Theta Kappa honor society will hold an induction ceremony at 6 p.m., at the McCain Theater. For more information, contact Barbara Jones, 484-8606.
Friday: MCC salutes veterans at 9:30 a.m., at the Flag Plaza. Campus veterans, including faculty, staff and students, will be honored. For more information, contact Laura Davis, 481-1396.
Saturday: The Meridian Symphony Orchestra at MCC's Ivy Hall: The Trumpet Shall Sound. The featured music will be: Handel, Haydn and Beethovan. Charles Gates is the featured artist. The program starts at 8 p.m. For more information, call 693-2224.
Saturday: The 32nd Annual Church of the Mediator will hosts its annual barbecue. All proceeds from this event go to local charities. Pork or beef barbecue plates are available at $6. There will be a bake sale and children's activities. Eat in or take-out available. Delivery is available for 5 or more plates. The barbecue will be held from 11 a.m. -5 p.m. For more information, call 483-3959.
Saturday: 10K Run For Hope. The 10K Trail Run will be held at Bonita Lakes Park. All proceeds go to Hope For Children Foundation. Registration fee $ 16 prior to Nov. 2, $20. after Nov. 2. 601- 553-6622,or 693-3191.
Sunday: Veteran's Day Ceremony and Parade. A memorial ceremony will be held downtown at the Doughboy Monument at 10:30 a.m. The parade will begin at 3 p.m. For more information, call 485-1944.
Sunday: MCC Music Department: The Meridian Winds; This ensemble of select musicians plays a host of numbers that spotlight everything from dynamic literature to orchestral pieces. The program will be held at the McCain Theater in Ivy Hall. For more information, call484-8696 or 1-800-MCC-THE-1.
Nov. 13: MCC Jazz Band, featuring quest artist bassist Alex Pershounin. The program will be held at the McCain Theater in Ivy Hall. The program starts at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call 448-8696 or 1-800-MCC-THE-1.
Nov. 16: Royal Hannaford Circus will be held at the Lauderdale County Agri-Center. For more information, call 482-8498.
