The West Lauderdale Knights posted a 66-56 comeback win against the Neshoba Central Rockets Monday night at the West Lauderdale gym.
The Knights used the free throw line to their advantage, as they knocked down 21-of -31 attempted in the contest.
The West Lauderdale girls took a 61-41 victory over the Lady Rockets to move their record to 5-1 on the season.
In the boys game, the Rockets were hit with a technical foul late in the fourth period, sending West to the foul line with an opportunity to get within one point of the Rocket lead.
As Calvin Moore dropped in a lay up, he was fouled, and the comeback was underway. Since the shot dropped, the Knights were rewarded the points, plus four free throws two on the foul, and two on the technical foul.
Moore connected with the foul shots, and pulled West within striking distance of the lead.
Neshoba took a two-point lead into halftime. However, the Knights went on to outscore Neshoba Central 36-24, in the final two quarters. West Lauderdale scored 26 points in the final quarter to make for a crowd-pleasing comeback.
The Knights were led in scoring by Moore with 18, Boo Ramsey with 17, and Karlo Lewis with 16.
The Rockets were led by Desmond Jones with 17, and Calvin Parker with 10.
Both teams are slated to play in the East Central Tournament, as the 5-1 Knights will face Scott Central, and the 3-2 Rockets will tangle with Sebastopol on Monday night.

The Neshoba Central Lady Rockets could not contain the outside shooting displayed by the Lady Knights, as they were downed 61-41, at the West Lauderdale gym.
The Lady Rockets trailed by only five points at halftime, but they could never catch hot-handed, three-point shooter Cierra Jennings.
Jennings dropped in three consecutive three-point shots in the third quarter to push West Lauderdale to the win.
The Lady Knights were led in scoring by J.J. Huggins with 15, Patty Monroe with 13. Kristina Gardner had 12 and Jennings added 11.
Neshoba Central was led in scoring by Miranda Rosar with 12, while Elyse Willis added 11.
Both teams are slated to play in the East Central Tournament, as the 5-1 Lady Knights will face Sebastopol, and the 6-2 Lady Rockets will tangle with the Nanih Waiya, on Monday night.
