Brenda Birdsong of Pontotoc and Anthony Birdsong of Winona announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Michelle, to Charles "Raymond" Jordan, son of Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Jordan Jr. of Raleigh.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at 1 p.m. at Wilkinson Memorial Baptist Church in Raleigh.
Miss Birdsong is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Havens of Winona and the late Oscar and Sybil Birdsong of Indianola.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and is a student in Meridian Community College's School of Nursing.
While attending Meridian High, she was a member of the National Honor Society, Safety Club and the Lady Wildcats softball team. She is employed by the Sewing and Vacuum Center.
Mr. Jordan is the grandson of Ruth Johnson of Raleigh and the late P.J. Farnham and the late Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Jordan Sr. of Raleigh.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Raleigh High School and received his Basic EMT and EMT-Paramedic License from Jones Junior College.
While attending high school, he was a member of Who's Who Among American High School Students and the newspaper staff.
Mr. Jordan is employed by Metro Ambulance Service, and Neshoba General Ambulance Service.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
