Rebecca W. Gray and Dr. Adam K. Prokopowicz will be united in marriage on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the home of Elaine White in Bailey.
Parents of the couple are Jane White of Meridian and the late Dr. Reginald White, the late Irmina Prokopowicz and the late Romuald Prokopowicz of Warsaw, Poland.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. David White of Meridian.
Ms. Gray is a graduate of Meridian High School and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. She is employed as a pharmacist at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
The bridegroom-elect earned a doctorate from the Warsaw School of Economics, a master's degree from Warsaw University Law and Business Administration Department and a master's degree from the International Business Department of Warsaw School of Economics.
He is a professor with the University of New Orleans and serves as vice president of IP International Consulting.
Dr. Prokopowicz served as an advisor to the World Bank, European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, governments and the private sector in more than 25 countries in the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
A reception will be held at the home of the bride's mother following the ceremony.
