Meridian police expect to make arrests within days in connection with a shootout at an apartment complex two weeks ago that injured seven people and scared residents.
Police arrived at Meadowbrook Apartments on Fifth Street at about 4 a.m. on Nov. 23. An apparent argument led to an exchange of gunfire in the parking lot of the small apartment complex.
None of the injuries were life-threatening, according to police, who said warrants would be issued for aggravated assault charges in connection with the shootings.
A Meadowbrook Apartments employee said the shooting has frightened residents even though the people involved in the incident didn't live there.
