Buckner named to Alliance post

Shareen Buckner, MSN, FNP, has joined the staff of Alliance Health Center as director of nursing and chief clinical officer.
Since Alliance began its program in Meridian, emphasis has been on recruiting quality clinical professionals, according to spokesman Lydia Armistead.
Buckner's educational and clinical background is extensive. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Nebraska. She also holds an associate degree in nursing from Livingston University, a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi and a master's degree in nursing from Troy State University. She earned a post master's degree in the family nurse practitioner course of study at Mississippi University for Women.
Buckner became board certified as a family nurse practitioner in 1994 and as an advanced addictions nurse in 2001. Prior to joining Alliance, she was with Okatibbee Family Medical Clinic, a division of Rush Medical Services.
