A Christmas countdown, a coloring contest and a place to write Santa are among the features children will find at the Bonita Lakes Mall Web site.
The Web site address is www.bonitalakesmall.com.
The countdown to Christmas is displayed in red in the upper left corner of the site's home page. The page updates daily to keep an accurate count of the number of days until Dec. 25.
From there, visitors can click the section marked "just for kids" to send greetings to Santa or to print the "Happy Holiday Bear" coloring page.
The "Happy Holiday Bear" coloring page will not be judged. Rather, White said, a winner will be drawn at random from entries the mall receives by a Dec. 31 deadline.
The coloring pages should be submitted to the mall's Customer Service Center. Coloring pages will be displayed at Customer Service and will not be returned by mail to the customer.
Pages will remain on file and can be picked up during regular mall hours Jan. 1-15.
Other new features on the Web site include a weekly poll and a link to holiday fashion tips.
This week's poll asks visitors if they have finished their holiday shopping. The response is calculated and gives an almost instant update of survey results
The fashion link leads people to http://www.allure.com, where they can find beauty tips and trends, product reviews and other beauty and fashion-related information.
Old favorites are still available at the mall's Web site, including gift ideas, job listings, upcoming events and an opportunity to purchase mall gift certificates online.
White said that people also can subscribe to e-mail from the mall.
Visitors can sign the Web site guest book or leave their e-mail address on the home page. Then they'll receive e-mail about upcoming events, special sales and other mall news.
Anyone who does not have Internet access but does have e-mail can leave their e-mail address at the mall's Customer Service office so they can be added to the mailing list.
