Lafferty, Shirley

Carlton and Jane Lafferty of Meridian and Larry and Christie Rainer of Hickory announce the engagement of their daughter, Charrisa Lafferty, to Ben Shirley, son of Roger and Carla Shirley of Chunky.
The wedding will be held Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at 3 p.m. at Northcrest Baptist Church.
Ms. Lafferty is the granddaughter of the late Cecil and Annie May Lafferty, Rosaetta Caraway of Meridian and the late Maurice B. Caraway, and Tommy and Mary Jones of Louisville.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Clarkdale High School. She received her therapeutic massage certification from the Mississippi School of Therapeutic Massage, an esthetician certification from Shirley Little School of Cosmetology, and her nail technician certification from Final Touch School of Cosmetology.
Ms. Lafferty is employed at Nail-N-More and is a member of Northcrest Baptist Church.
Mr. Shirley is the grandson of Leroy and Mary Crouch, Myrtle Irby and Ben Carpenter, all of Chunky.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Lamar High School and received a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi.
He is employed by Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center and is a member of Chunky Baptist Church.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
