Meridian police are searching for two men in connection with robberies Wednesday and Thursday at local hotels.
Detective Deano Harper, police department spokesman, said a guest at the Super Inn Motel at 1010 North Frontage Road was robbed around 11 p.m. Thursday.
The gunman apparently entered the hotel room through the door when the guest, a man, was entering or leaving the room. The victim was injured, Harper said, but not seriously.
The suspect is described as a black man, 5 feet 10 inches tall to 6 feet tall, and weighing 200 to 230 pounds.
In an unrelated incident, a guest at the Hampton Inn was carjacked at gunpoint Wednesday as he parked his truck. The robbery occurred about 5 p.m.
The man approached the victim and demanded the keys to his truck. The victim complied, the man fled, and the truck was later discovered in Jackson, Harper said. That suspect is described as a black man about 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 215 pounds.
