METAIRIE, La. Services for Dorothy Cruise Dwyer were held at Lietz-Eagan Funeral Home. Burial was in the Garden of Memorials.
Mrs. Dwyer, 79, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at East Jefferson General Hospital. She was born in Meridian and lived in Metairie for 42 years.
Survivors include two sons, Carey Dwyer and William W. Dwyer Jr.; two daughters, Diane Miller and Carol Banker; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Winfield Dwyer, and her parents, William Carey Cruise and Cora Mae McCoy.

MACON Services for Mary Martin were held Wednesday at Sunflower Baptist Church with the Rev. John Ball officiating. Burial was in Sunflower Cemetery in Scooba with Lee Sykes Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Martin, 70, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, in her home.
Survivors include three daughters, Annie Moore, Dora Moore and Wennie Cross of Scooba; six sons, Fred Cross, Melvin Cross, Roosevelt Cross, Richard Cross and Frankie Cross, all of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by a son, O.D. Cross Jr.

Mrs. Phillips, 95, of Union, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, at Leake Memorial Hospital in Carthage.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Brooks of Lufkin, Texas; a son, Charles Phillips and his wife, Judy, of Union; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bradley, 56, of Gilbertown, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, William D. Bradley, two sons, Robbie Bradley and his wife, Christie, and Ricky Bradley and his wife, Marcia, all of Gilbertown; a brother, R.L. Taylor of Lusk; and four grandchildren.

Mr. Wells, 91, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, in his home. He was a planer machinist with Molpus Lumber Co.
Survivors include a daughter, Patty Jean Bates of Philadelphia; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. McLemore, 65, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, in her home. She was a member of First Church of God.
Survivors include her special friends, Diane Parker, Leola Ethridge, and Fredna and Edgar Wade, all of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Jewell McLemore.

Mr. Hartness, 57, of Noxapater, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville.
Survivors include his wife, Seretha Hartness of Noxapater; a daughter, Sylvia Hartness Williams of Destin, Fla.; a son, Ray Hartness of Hartselle, Ala.; his mother, Lindel Hartness, a sister, Judy Smith, two brothers, Terry Hartness and Ted Hartness, all of Noxapater; stepdaughters, Debra Higginbotham and Amanda Cumberland of Philadelphia, and Tami Conner of Erwinville, La.; a stepson, Mikel Higginbotham of Shuqualak; and 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Graham, 83, of McAllen, Texas, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, in McAllen.
Survivors include a brother, Lamar Graham of Rose Hill and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Drake, 44, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, at The Speciality Hospital of Meridian. She was a member of the Evangel Temple Assembly of God in Longview, Texas.
Survivors include her husband, John Drake and a son, Daniel Drake, both of Meridian; and a sister, Doris Hollyhand of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard C. Brantley and Verba Audeline Brantley; and a sister, Jessie Brantley.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

NEWTON Services for Cora B. Hindman will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Newton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Curtis Cain officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hindman, 86, of Newton, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson. She was a retired teacher at Newton High School. She was a member of the Mississippi Garden Club, United Methodist Women's Christian Club, a Cub Scout leader and a prominent worker in her church.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Silas Homer Hindman of Newton; two sons, Stan Hindman of Oakland, Calif.; and Dr. Steve Hindman of Jackson; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mittie Harrison Chatham.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family request memorials be made to Gideons Memorial Bibles in lieu of flowers.
Pallbearers will be Robert Logan, Rusty McMillan, Jack Thames, Kirk Thames, James Youngblood, Floyd Wade, Billy Horton, Tommy Hartcock Jr., Van Lucas and Jack Weaver.
