65th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Reynolds recently celebrated their 65th anniversary. The couple was married Dec. 17, 1936, at the home of Ed Allen, justice of the peace. They have three children, Hilda Faye Davis and her husband, Richard, Richard Reynolds and his wife, Sheila, and Diane Jenkins and her husband, David; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. The couple resides in the Whynot Community.
50th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. John T. Raines will celebrate their 50th anniversary with dinner at their family home. The couple's children, John Raines, Kathy Chandler and Recee Stewart, all of Enterprise, Betty Barton and Judy Milstead of Whynot, will host the event. The couple was married Dec. 28, 1951, in a double-ring ceremony with Mrs. Raines' sister, Nell, who married Mr. Raines' brother, Herman, who died 1985. They also have eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Raines is the former Bonnie Faye Jordan of Crandall.
50th anniversary
A celebration of the 50th anniversary of Dr. and Mrs. L.B. Adkins of Union will be held Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church of Union. Family and friends are invited to attend. The couple requests no gifts.
50th anniversary
Willie and Mary Fairchild of Collinsville celebrated their 50th anniversary at a reception held in their honor at Bethel Methodist Church. The couple wed Dec. 15, 1951, in Meridian. They have two children, Vickie McGrew and her husband, Robert, and Ronnie Fairchild, all of Collinsville; two grandchildren, Wesley McGrew of Collinsville and Jesse Fairchild of Washington. Mr. Fairchild retired from Fruge Suburban Gas Co. Mrs. Fairchild is the former Mary Langdon.
