Lady Cats take win over Tylertown

HATTIESBURG The Meridian Lady Wildcats turned back Tylertown on Friday morning at the Hattiesburg Holiday Invitational.
The Lady Wildcats move to 10-4 on the season following the 55-42 win.
Stephanie Mosley paced Meridian by firing in a season high 30 points. Valencia Hairston chipped in nine while Latisha Jones had six.
T. Andrews led Tylertown with 21.
Meridian jumped on Tylertown with a 17-5 first quarter. Tylertown cut into the lead with a 14-point second quarter to make it 29-19 at the half.
Meridian scored 17 in the third quarter to go up 12 at 46-34.
The Lady Wildcats will return to action this morning at 11 a.m. against Hazlehurst.
Sweetwater, Ala. 72
Clarkdale Boys 50
Host Sweetwater scored 45 points in the second half to bury Clarkdale 72-50 on the final day of the Sweetwater Holiday Touranment on Friday in Sweetwater, Ala.
The Bulldogs trailed only 27-25 at halftime but Sweetwater used a 2-6 third quarter to build a 52-31 lead after three quarters.
Clarkdale was led by Bryant Gaddis with 20 points and Brandon Mabry chipped in 11.

Enterprise 48
Clarkdale defeated Enterprise 68-48 to finish third in the Sweet Water Tournament.
The Bulldogs led 31-26 at the half and never looked back. Clarkdale came out to the second half scoring 17 in the third period and twenty in the fourth. The Bulldogs leading scores were Brandon Mabry with 21, while Bryant Gaddis and Matt Tucker had thirteen. Enterprise was led in scoring by Corey Bogan who had twenty points.
