Services for John Allen Henley were to held today at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dr. Raymon Leake and David McCubbin officiating. Burial was to be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. Henley of Meridian died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital. Mr. Henley was a member of First Baptist Church, the Barracha Sunday School Class, Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include his wife, Gene Henley of Meridian; and a brother William Henley of Talbert, Tenn.
He was proceeded in death by his first wife, Mae Henley; and a sister Pauline Mahalic.
The family requests memorials be made to Habitat for Humanity or First Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Paul Henley, Bobby Jack Henley, Stephen Johnson, George Howard Spinks, David Huffman and Charles Naylor.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Barrachas Fellowship.
IRENE MCDONALD MOTT

NEWTON Services for Irene McDonald Mott will be held today at 2 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dr. Frank Harmon and Mark McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Newton Masonic Cemetery.
Mrs. Mott, 96, of Newton, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at Newton Regional Hospital. She was a retired cafeteria manager for Newton Elementary Schools and a homemaker. Mrs. Mott was born in Franklin County. She was a member of First Baptist Church for 82 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Moore of La Porte, Texas, and Juanita Brady of Newton; a son, Albert Lee Mott Jr. of Salem, Ore.; five grandchildren: Linda Lee Stroope of Silverton, Ore., Sandra Reyes of Leaque City, Texas, Donna Ramm of La Porte, Julia Ann Crenshaw of Newton and Stefanie Lynn McHenry of Madison; and eight great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lee Mott Sr.; and her parents, Wilson Rhodes and Mary Porter Mott.
Pallbearers will be Butch Crenshaw, Cleet McHenry, Cale Crenshaw, Samuel Crenshaw, Brandon McHenry, Jamie McDonald and Mark McDonald.
Visitation will be today beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
EVA MAE MCINNIS PHILLIPS

ENTERPRISE, Ala. Services for Eva Mae McInnis Phillips will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Searcy Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Malcom Lewis officiating. Burial will be in First Baptist Church Level Plains Cemetery in Daleville, Ala. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Phillips, 92, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Pearline Burdette of Atlanta and Elaine Melton of Meridian; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; three step-grandchildren and their children; two brothers, Murd McInnis of Enterprise, Ala. and Hansel McInnis of Niceville, Fla.; two sisters, Lucille Bowling of Pensacola, Fla., and Bertha Davis of Sumter, S.C.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Phillips.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
MILLARD MURDOCK

Services for Millard "Buddy" Murdock will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Douglas Stone, Bob Null and Robert O'Gwynn officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Murdock, 63, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at Guardian Angel Hospice in Marion. He was retired from the U.S. Army and a member of First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma L. Murdock of Meridian; a son, Dr. David M. Murdock of New Orleans; three brothers, Roy Murdock, James Nance and Tony Nance, all of Statesville, N.C.; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Cassandra Overstreet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ruby Murdock; and a sister, Joyce Henderson.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
MICHAEL MAIDA
WAXAHACHIE, Texas Services for Michael Maida will be held today at 3:30 p.m. at Central Baptist Church in Italy, Texas, with the Rev. John Sursa officiating. Burial will be in Italy Cemetery with Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Maida, 81, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at the VA Hospital in Dallas. He was born May 23, 1920, in Soverato, Italy. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and in the South Pacific where he received the Silver Star, two Purple Hearts, Presidential Citation of Merit and was decorated for service in four battle campaigns.
Survivors include his daughters, Diane Lawson and her husband, Lynn, and Karen Mathiowetz and her husband, Brian, all of Italy, and Michele Smith and her husband, Carey, of Meridian; sisters, Delia Franklin of Colorado Springs, Colo., Elvita Collins of Trenton, N.J., and Rose Grassman of Syracuse, N.Y.; grandsons, Scott Lawson and Stephen Lawson and his wife, Stephanie, all of Arlington, Texas, Carson Hufstetler of Sylvester, Ga.; granddaughter, Cristen Hoots of Winston Salem, N.C.; great-grandson, Brandon Lawson of Arlington; great-granddaughters, Anna and Madeleine Hoots of Winston Salem; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara; parents, John and Mary Maida; and a brother, Delio Maida.
Pallbearers will be Weldon Holley, Dudley Martin, Jerry Holley, Kevin Bean, Carey Smith and Brian Mathiowetz.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Lena L. Brunson will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Gene Higginbotham officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Brunson, 99, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at Neshoba County Nursing Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Pauline Tullos of Houston, Texas, and Maurice Cooksey of Union; sons, W.G. Brunson of Philadelphia and J.M. Brunson of Ridgeland; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Brunson; and a son, A.M. Brunson.
