Leslie Michelle Tidwell of Chelsea, Ala., and Jonathan Manning Wells of Glencoe, Ala., were married Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at Reid Chapel on the campus of Samford University, with the Rev. Walter Blackman officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Tidwell of Chelsea, and Mr. and Mrs. Larry H. Wells of Glencoe.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Abrams and Mrs. E.W. Tidwell.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Sarah R. Wells of Glencoe, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Wells of Lake City, Fla., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer M. Landreth Sr.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Hunter Goff, organist; Melodie Dean, pianist and soloist; Tim Lott, trumpeter; and Kim Sontherland, soloist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Maid of honor was Kelly Tidwell of Chelsea. Other attendants were Betsy Dunning of Neenah, Wis., Emily Marler of Franklin, Tenn., Erin Lott of Pelham, Ala., Jenny Waltman of Birmingham, and Kay Michael of Sarasota, Fla. Kyndal Smith of Attalla, Ala., was flower girl.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Kevin Wells and Joshua Wells of Glencoe, Devin Smith of Birmingham, Mike Sigmon of Adamsville, Ala., Stephen Sanders and Bo Glenn of Birmingham.
Rose petal attendants were Courtney Wells and Madeleine Thomas. Program attendant was Emily Henson.
A reception was held at Vestaria Lodge following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Marty Baker, Melissa Bracewell, Sarah Beth Cain, Jennifer Martin, Ginny Northam and Shana Silvey.
After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple resides in Birmingham.
