Leake, Kemper girls meet today

Leake Academy plays host to Kemper Academy in an interesting girls prep basketball game tonight at 6.
Leake has long been one of the dominate girls teams in the state, while Kemper has won its share of big games as well.
The Rebelettes defeated Kemper 59-57 in DeKalb earlier in the season. KA's only losses of the season have come to LA, Starkville (68-53), Heritage (57-55), Washington (45-41) and Indianola (49-37).
All but two of Kemper's 16 wins have come by 15 or more points. KA beat Winston 43-41 and Oak Hill 32-30 in the only tight victories.
The 16-4 Rebelettes have lost to Oak Hill (56-51), Canton (42-41), Simpson (72-66) and Starkville (56-29).
Other are prep games scheduled for tonight have Wayne Academy visiting Sylva-Bay Academy and Central Academy hosting Starkville.
Leake girls 69
Heritage 36
The Rebelettes of Leake Academy put four players in double figures on Saturday night on the way to a convincing 69-36 win over Heritage Academy.
Leake ran its record to 16-4 on the season, while Heritage fell to 11-5.
Sophomore Kristin Caldwell led Leake with 18 points, while eighth grader Greggina Tadlock hit for 17, Lauren Gross scored 14 and B.J. Helton added 11.
Noxubee Co. girls 67
B.L. Moor 38
The Tigerettes pounded the host squad in the B.L. Moor Tournament on Saturday night.
Shawnequa Rucker scored 18 points to lead Noxubee County, while Erlexis Cooper score 13.
Courtney Kemp had 13 for Moor, while Mitchell Doss added 12.
The Tigerettes play host to region foe Louisville on Tuesday night and then visit league foe New Hope on Friday.
Columbus boys 73
Kemper County 52
The Falcons of Columbus High School ran their record to 17-1 on the season with a 73-52 win over the Wildcats of Kemper County on Friday night.
Jamal Doughty scored 19 for Columbus, while Elency Erby hit for 15. Kenny Boyd led Kemper county with 19 points, as James Moore added 13.
Kemper County plays host to Scott Central on Tuesday before taking part in the Same Dale Tournament later in the week.
Heritage boys 77
Leake 73
The Rebels of Leake academy dropped just their third game of the season on Saturday, as Heritage of Columbus took a 77-73 win.
Lance Harrison poured in 28 points for the Patriots of HA, while Nathan Kober scored 14.
Drew Wolverton led Leake with 18 points, while Luke Culpepper scored 11 for the 15-3 Rebels.
Leake hosts Kemper tonight and league foe East Rankin Academy on Tuesday.
B.L. Moor 68
Noxubee Co. 65
Chris Jones poured in 23 points to lead 12-5 B.L. Moor to the 68-65 win over Noxubee County on Saturday night.
O'Bryant Brandy led Noxubee with 22 points, while Delvin Young hit for 20.
