The second and third suspects have been charged in connection with the burglaries of eight cars in the Lake Ross Collins subdivision.
Lauderdale County Sheriff Billy Sollie said Justin McDonald, 19, of 7995 Highway 39 North, and Michael Churchill, 20, of 3319 Minnow Bucket Road, are each free on $20,000 bond. Both are charged with burglary.
A first suspect, Brandon Myers, 20, of 453 Sookalena St., was charged with burglary on Friday and also is free on $20,000 bond.
The three became suspects after sheriff's investigators began looking into a string of auto burglaries in the Lake Ross Collins subdivision in Collinsville. Sollie said a resident there discovered a strong piece of evidence linking Myers to the crime, but declined to release the nature of the evidence.
Sollie said while none of the cars appeared to be vandalized, cell phones, audio equipment and compact discs were taken. When taken into custody, authorities discovered Myers had in his possession a stereo amplifier that was removed from one of the subdivision's cars, Sollie said.
Sollie said investigators are seeking a fourth suspect in connection with the burglaries. Additional evidence will be presented to a grand jury in March, he said.
