Van Chancellor is so busy these days with a myriad of things on his mind, but the Louisville native was still able to give his view on several topics concerning the game of basketball.
Not only is Chancellor the Head Coach and General Manager of the four-time WNBA champion Houston Comets, he has also been named the Head Coach for the United States Womens' National team.
Add to that and Chancellor is also a much sought after commentator for college basketball, both for men and women.
This past Saturday, Chancellor worked the Auburn-Arkansas mens game in Auburn for Fox Sports South.
The next stop is Sunday for the Tennessee-LSU womens' game in Baton Rouge.
The former Ole Miss Head Coach was then asked about the status of the U.S. Womens' National team.
Work on assembling the team and the beginning of intial workouts start in February. Chancellor will run the team through April.
As for the Comets, Chancellor offered a scoop.
Delving back into the national college scene for the women, Chancellor offered these thoughts on Connecuticut and Tennessee.
The coach, though, says the Lady Vols should relish a rematch despite the fact UConn won Saturday's contest by 16 in Knoxville.
This Saturday, the Ole Miss men take on Mississippi State in Oxford. Chancellor has an opinion on this as well.
As for the rest of the SEC Men, Chancellor says the Kentucky Wildcats are not his favorite.
Chancellor also says that Arkansas, a team he saw upclose against Auburn, is a darkhorse.
