DEKALB Services for Edna Wiggins Boren were to be held today at 10 a.m. at Bay Springs Baptist Church in Kemper County. Burial will be in Bay Springs Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Boren, 78, of Meridian, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, in Meridian. She was a member and longtime Sunday school teacher at Bay Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bolie Boren of DeKalb; a daughter, Wanda Gordon and her husband, Carlos, of Meridian; a son, Ray Boren and his wife, Debbie, of Clinton; a brother, Marvin Wiggins and his wife, Betty, of Porterville; grandchildren and their spouses, Glenn Gordon of Macon, Ga., Steve and Patricia Gordon of Mansfield, Texas, Sandi and Ricky Arnold of Petal, Rebecca and Danny Randolph of DeKalb, Susan and Tom Goins of Meridian, Kenneth and Lisa Boren of Russell and Kevin and Kay Boren of DeKalb; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Boren; and her parents, Marvin and Rebecca Wiggins.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Wiggins, Scott Wiggins, Jack Newell, Joe Lee Newell, Carroll Puckett and Bolie Puckett.
MARGARET STENNIS

Services for Margaret Stennis will be held today at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Julian Stennis officiating. Burial will be in Rush Cemetery in DeKalb.
Mrs. Stennis, 80, of DeKalb, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, at Heartfelt Hospice. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James H. "Tuff" Stennis, two children, Anita Goodwin and her husband, Don, and Bubba Aust and his wife, June, all of DeKalb; two sisters, Louise Acker of Mobile, Ala., and Grace Bradshaw and her husband, Jim, of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Monique Leonard.
Pallbearers will be Doug Goodwin, Jim Aust, Lee Aust, Adam Richardson, Homer Hall Jr. and Kevin Wilson.
Visitation will be today beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
JEWELL VIRGINIA WILLIAMS TAYLOR

Services for Jewell Virginia Williams Taylor will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with the Revs. Cliff Pace, Jimmy Sanders and Randle Creel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Taylor, 82, of the Springhill Community, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, in her home. She was a loving wife, mother and neighbor. Mrs. Taylor was a very active member of the Dorcus Sunday School Class at New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Lamar Taylor, a son, Priestly Lamar Taylor and his wife, Janice, daughters, Frances Thornhill and Faye McIlwain and her husband, David, all of Meridian; granddaughters, Teresa Thornhill Scheel, Brenda Thornhill Scaggs, Stephanie McIlwain, Natalie Taylor and Dee Rutledge McIlwain; grandsons, Chris McIlwain, Chad Thornhill, Nathan Taylor and Justin Taylor; sisters, Hazel Walker of Baton Rouge, La., Berniece Nicholson of Meridian and Sarah Williams and her husband, Ralph, of Meridian; a brother, Billy Williams and his wife, Barbara, of Meridian; a sister-in-law, Martha Williams of Meridian; two brothers-in-law, James Weaver of Jackson and Leonard Taylor and his wife, Inell, of Meridian; nieces and nephews, Bobby Walker, Mike Walker, Jackie Durrett, Jann Puckett, James Weaver Jr., Jean Medley, Linda Bartling, Nancy Nicholson, Sheila Graham, Vanessa Moore, Brad Williams, Rick Williams, Lisa Vickers and Linda Arledge, Renee Jones and Pam Taylor, all of Meridian, the Rev. Ed Norris of Olive Branch and Alice Oglesby of Atlanta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Williams Sr.; a brother, Richard Williams Jr.; and a sister, Maurine Weaver.
Pallbearers will be Chris McIlwain, Chad Thornhill, Nathan Taylor, Justin Taylor, Bill Scaggs, Larry Scheel and Mark Snowden.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Willie Neil Sunday School Class, Tommy Cook and Raymond McDonald.
Visitation will be today 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
