Services for Wallace Adron Ethridge will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Toby Lofton officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Mausoleum.
Mr. Ethridge, 76, of Collinsville, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, in his home. Mr. Ethridge, a loving husband, father and grandfather, was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He retired from Ryder P.I.E. in 1989 after 33 years. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II and was a member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ernestine McMullan Ethridge of Collinsville; two sons, Leslie M. Ethridge of Port Barre, La., and Mitchell Ethridge of Collinsville; a daughter, Mitzi South and her husband, Jerry, of Hueytown, Ala.; two grandsons, Keith Ethridge and his wife, Candace, of Birmingham, Ala., and Jamison Ethridge and his wife, Sherrie, of Jacksonville, N.C.; two granddaughters, Courtney Hatten and her husband, Jeff, of Destin, Fla., and Brittany Ethridge of Baton Rouge, La.; two great-grandchildren, Kendall Hatten of Destin and Chase Ethridge of Jacksonville; two brothers, Claiborne Ethridge and his wife, Madge, of Collinsville and Edwin Ethridge and his wife, Linda, of Little Rock; a sister-in-law, Bernice Ethridge of Pekin, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Les and Elma Ethridge; two brothers, Truman and Talmadge Ethridge; and a sister, Mildred Ethridge.
Pallbearers will be Freeman Powell, Gerard Ethridge, Bill McKinion, Jimmy Castle, Thomas Brooks, Paul George, Dock Davis and Carey Parker.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Crenshaw, Charles Mosley, Wayne Roberts, Aubert Poole and Herbert Herrington.
The family requests memorials be made to a favorite charity.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

MACON Services for Virginia Lee will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mashulaville Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Ingram and Bobby Joe Butler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Cockrell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lee, 76, of Macon, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at Noxubee General Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Harold "Jack" Lee of Macon; two daughters, Donna Wolfe of Starkville and Shirley Eaves of Columbus; two sons, Larry Lee of Columbus and Harold Lee of Louisville; a sister, Minnie Bryan of Meridian; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be made to the Palmer Home.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Irma L. Gordon will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Enterprise Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Gordon, 57, of Meridian, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include a sister, Vera Monegan; a niece, Katherine Monegan; and a nephew, Danny Monegan.
Visitation will be today 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
THOMAS MICHAEL DENTON
Services for Thomas Michael Denton will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Null officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Denton, 52, of Toomsuba, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of First Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Denton of Toomsuba; a son, Jeffrey Denton and two daughters, Jennifer Denton and Ashley Denton, all of Meridian; his mother, Eula Denton of Meridian; step children, Seth Thompson and Amy Thompson Creekmore, both of Union; step-grandchild, Michael Creekmore of Union; and two sisters, Martha Huggins of Meridian and Sandra Williams of Jacksonville, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas S. Denton; and a brother, Charles Douglas Denton.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Boswell, 90, of Philadelphia, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at Choctaw Residential Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Reid of Laurel; six sons, the Rev. R.L. Tolbert, Travis "Jack" Tolbert, Jimmy D. Boswell and Hilton Boswell, all of Philadelphia, Norman L. Tolbert of Eagle, Wis., and Dr. Joe Boswell of Union; 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Melba Young of Carthage.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
MILDRED DENNIS FERRILL

Graveside services for Mildred Dennis Ferrill will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Revs. Jim Harrison and Jim Wall officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ferrill, of Meridian, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian.
Survivors include several cousins, John Herbert Shamburger of Vicksburg, Bobby Thrash of Butler, Ala., Rita Davis of Pennington, Ala., Dorothy Hardin and Linda Hardin, both of Meridian; a sister-in-law, Rowena Eastland; a niece, Cornelia F. Laird of Meridian; a nephew, Don Eastland of Brandon; a niece, Celia Kovarik of Oakton, Va., a nephew, Charlie Ferrill of Little Rock, Ark., and several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cicero C. Ferrill; and her mother, Mrs. Lewis Curtis.
The family requests memorials be made to Central United Methodist Church or the Wesley House.

Memorial services for Roslyn Bedford will be Friday at 6 p.m. in her home. Barham Funeral Home in Charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bedford, 53, of Meridian, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, in her home. She was a retired chief petty officer serving 20 years in the U.S. Navy as a counselor. She served in Vietnam and Desert Storm. Mrs. Bedford was a member of the Meridian Civitan Club.
Survivors include her husband, Deward Wayne Bedford of Meridian; two brothers, Gary Hazelwood of Eden, N.C., and Charles Hazelwood of Danville, Va.; and a sister, Donnavee Sparks of Danville.
