Services for Earline Tate will be held today at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Methodist Cemetery.
Mrs. Tate, 68, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, in her home.
Survivors include five daughters, Jeraldine Tracy and Teresa Bohl, both of Meridian, Irene Thrash of Sebastopol, Patricia Lira of Kingsville, Texas, and Evon Reynolds of Rose Hill; a son, Michael Tate of Biloxi; sisters, Elsie McKinney and Mary Glenn King, a brother, Jessie Rose and a special friend, Robert Phillips, all of Meridian; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Scarbrough; parents, Jessie Lee and Irene Rose; a brother and two sisters.
Visitation will today prior to the service.
Car salesman for 45 years
Services for Lindsey Smith were to be held today at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Carl Stephens and Jim Snowden officiating. Burial was to be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
Mr. Smith, 81, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, at Guardian Angel Hospice. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Farmer Smith of Meridian; two sons, Jerry Smith and his wife, Joni, of Meridian and Charles Smith of Hattiesburg; a daughter, Sheila McLaughlin and her husband, Doug, of Pass Christian; a sister, Betty Fredorak of Crestview, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Lindsey Gerald Smith; parents, Sebastian and Elizabeth Smith; sisters, Ruthie Goforth, Alice Knight and Sally Hitt; brothers, Marcus, Robert, Phil and Doc.
The family requests memorials be made to Mt. Nebo Cemetery Association, 133 George Rd., Collinsville, MS 39325.
Pallbearers will be Peyton Monroe, Brian McLaughlin, Jason McLaughlin, Cal Smith, David Smith, Daniel Smith, Phillip Smith and Jefferson Casea.
Retired heavy equipment operator
PHILADELPHIA Services for Delmon Wright will be held today at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be in Coye Assembly of God Cemetery in Preston.
Mr. Wright, 80, of Preston, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Wright of Preston; two daughters, Jerry Nell DuBard of Philadelphia and Marsha Geoghagan of Baldwyn; sons, Barry Wright of Meridian, Donnie Wright of DeKalb, Mark Wright of Carthage and Danny Wright of Preston; sisters, Florence Fox of Philadelphia and Evelyn McDonald of Preston; a brother, Robert Bateman of Bushnell, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Delva Jean Eastman; and a son, Ted Wright.

GULFPORT Services for James Raynell Maggard will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Finely Cemetery.
Mr. Maggard, 74, of Gulfport, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, in Gulfport. He was a native of Lauderdale County and a resident of the Gulf Coast for 49 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Maggard was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Pass Christian where he served as a deacon and Lyman Senior Citizen Center.
Survivors include his wife, Mary "Linda" A. Maggard and his first wife and mother of his children, Mary Ann Maggard, both of Gulfport; sons, James Albert Maggard and his wife, Tracy, and Paul Brian Maggard and his wife, Eleanor, all of Soso; daughters, Carol Maggard Jarrard, Ann Maggard Holliday and her husband, Tom, and Mary Elizabeth "Beth" M. Koenenn and her husband, John, all of Gulfport; a brother, Charles Maggard and his wife, Donna, of Meridian; sisters, Mildred Creel of Hot Springs, Ark., Doris Moffett and her husband, the Rev. Eugene Moffett, of Water Valley; sisters-in-law, Opal McGuire of Gulfport, Roberta Maggard of Bayou La Batr, Ala., and Pete Maggard of Newton; step children, Philip Crawford and his wife, Audrey, of Beauville, N.C., David S. Crawford and his wife, Kathy, of Charleston, S.C., and Mary Cameron Courtright of Kinston, N.C.; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, West Maggard and Maggie Corina Smith Maggard; brothers, Eugene Maggard, John W. Maggard, Cecil Maggard and Jimmy Maggard; sister, Stella Minner; and sister-in-law, Kate Maggard.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
