The Question …
Who holds the record for most points scored in a single football game for Auburn University? How many points did he score, and how did he score it against? If you get the year it occurred, then you get one million bonus points.

COLLINSVILLE The West Lauderdale Knights manufactured an 8-0 shutout over the Clarkdale Bulldogs in a muddy, rainy slopfest Thursday night. The conditions took much of the skill out of a contest that was played on the Clarkdale end for much of the second half. The 9th-ranked Knights (8-0-2, 7-0 in Division IV) forged a 3-0 lead at the half.
HATTIESBURG Vandarel Jones made sure Southern Mississippi didn't lose its final non-conference game. Jones scored 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Golden Eagles to a 76-61 win over Louisiana-Lafayette Thursday night.

Alex George's Knights took Meridian High to overtime Saturday at Ray stadium before the homestanding Wildcats escaped with a hard-fought 6-3 win against West Lauderdale High in boys prep soccer action.
In a battle of flu-ridden squads, Kemper County put together a big run midway through the third quarter, then made it stand up in a 63-52 decision over Forest that gave the Wildcats their first Sam Dale title since 1991.
NEWTON Coach Arthur McMilian's Lady Tigers of Newton used an aggressive defense and a strong inside game in the second half to claim their second consecutive championship Friday night in the seventh annual Newton County Tournament at Newton High with a 69-50 conquest over Newton County.

STARKVILLE Richard Williams knew going into Saturday afternoon's matchup with LSU, that the Tigers' center Shaquille O'Neal had a habit of breaking down the opposition's game plan. And that is exactly what the 7-1, 294-pounder did to the Bulldogs, as LSU won on the road in Starkville 83-70.
OXFORD With 10 seconds left in overtime here Saturday, Joday Adams point guard of the 2nd-ranked Lady Vols missed a short jump shot that could have broken a 78-78 tie. Instead, the 10th-ranked Lady Rebels' Clara Jackson pulled down the rebound, and dumped it off to Jackie Martin, who raced the length of the court to convert a jumper in the lane that fell through as time expired.
The Answer …
No, it wasn't Bo Jackson. Running back Joe Cribbs scored five touchdowns in Auburn's 49-7 win over Vanderbilt on Oct. 14, 1978 to account for 30 of his team's points.
Sports Faces …
Jerry Parker
He may be 70 years old, but don't count on Jerry Parker to slow down any time soon.
Parker enjoys competiting in the Meridian Athletic Association. So much so, he was named the club's Senior Master winner. Parker was so good in 2001, he finished in the top eight among all male members.
He joined MAA and has been a fixture, running in a high of 23 events.
