Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taylor of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Ti-Sha Doris Sherbett, to Edwin Drummond Alexander, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Chapman of Houston, Texas.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at 4 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Meridian.
Miss Taylor is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. JC Taylor of Meridian, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Payne of Collierville, Tenn.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received a bachelor's degree from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La. She is employed as a carrier access billing revenue specialist with Allegiance Tele Communications Inc. in Dallas.
Mr. Alexander is the grandson of Emma Dilworth of Corinth.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Plano East High School in Plano, Texas. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force and is employed as a technician with The Wilkins Groups, a subsidiary of AT&T.
After the Sept. 11 attack, Mr. Alexander was re-activated to NAS JRB-Ft. Worth Carswell Field in Ft. Worth, Texas, and will leave for Italy in March.
