Princess And The Pea at MLT
Today through Sunday: "The Princess And The Pea" youth production at the Meridian Little Theatre continues. Weekday showings are for schools while four performances are opened to the public on Saturday and Sunday. The times are 4:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday. MCC celebrates MLK Birthday
Thursday: The annual Martin Luther King Birthday celebration will be observed at Meridian Community College at the McCain Theater, starting at 11 a.m. The speaker will be Jolviette Anderson.
Later, Anderson will present a program for the college's Arts &Letters Series presentation, starting at 7:30 p.m. at the McCain Theater. For more information, call 484-8696.
4-H Livestock Show set for Saturday
Saturday: Lauderdale County 4-H will host its 35th annual Livestock show Saturday at the Lauderdale County Agri-Center. The show will begin at 2 p.m. The 4-Hers will be exhibiting eight market steers, 12 market hogs, two market lambs, six commercial and registered beef heifers and three commercial dairy heifers for the 2002 show.
First Christian hosts Kentucky ham meal
Feb. 5-6: The 39th Annual Kentucky Ham Meal will be held at First Christian Church.
The menu includes ham, redeye gravy, grits, scrambled eggs, homemade biscuits, homemade preserves and coffee. Meals will be served each day from 6:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Dinner will be served Feb. 5 from 5-7 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3.50 for children.
