GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Sallie Taylor Carlisle will be held today at 2 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Gates officiating. Burial will be in Gilbertown Cemetery.
Mrs. Carlisle, 69, of Toxey, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, in Meridian.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Carlisle and Rodney Carlisle, both of Toxey; a daughter, Carol Deas of Tuscaloosa; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
CECIL V. HILL
Retired railroad employee
MACON Services for Cecil V. Hill will be held today at 3 p.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Hugh Poole and Rex Kilpatrick officiating. Burial will be in Brooksville Cemetery.
Mr. Hill, 71, of Meridian, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a native of Washington County and a member of the Church of Christ. A graduate of Artesia High School, he served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Kansas City Southern Railroad after 40 years of service. He was a member of the United Transportation Union. He enjoyed hunting with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Dovie E. Hill of Meridian; two daughters, Lisa H. Moore of Macon and Sheri A. Hill of Meridian; a son, Cecil O. Hill of Macon; six grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Wright of Mobile, Ala., and Evelyn McArthur of Macon; two brothers, Carey Hill of Yazoo City and George L. Hill of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Bennie F. Hill, Joe Hill and Randolph Hill.
The family requests memorials be made to Central Academy of Macon, P.O. Box 231 Macon MS 39341.
Visitation will be held today from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
WAYNE THOMAS BAILEY
Memorial services for Retired Lt. Col. Wayne Thomas "Bugar" Bailey will be held Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 7 p.m.
A native of Meridian, Mr. Bailey died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, and was buried in Colorado Springs, Colo., where he lived. He attended St. Aloysius School, Kate Griffin Junior High School, graduating from Meridian High School, attended East Mississippi Junior College and graduated from University of Tennessee Martin. Through the Army ROTC program, he entered the U.S. Army serving for 241/2 years. His military duties took him to Germany, as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam, many bases in the United States and the Pentagon, retiring with the rank of lieutenant colonel.
He was also active in Boy Scouts Troop 7 sponsored by St. Patrick Church and was an alter server for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Solis Bailey, son, Thomas and daughter, Michelle, all of Colorado Springs; brothers, Louis Joseph Jr. of Meridian and Charles Patrick of Gurley, Ala.; sisters, Mary Romero, of Ocean Springs; Teresa LaBiche and Kathy Powell of Meridian; five nephews, nine nieces, two great-nephews and one great niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Joseph and Claudia Sing Bailey; two nieces, Christianne Michelle Bailey and Rose Mary LaBiche.
Visitation will be held following the service in St. Patrick Parish Center.
CLARA LEORA HUDSON
Graveside services for Clara Leora Hudson will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Williams officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hudson, 99, of Meridian, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, in Meridian. She was born in Meridian on Aug. 23, 1902. With a loving and giving heart she lived her life to the fullest. Her passion for family, friends and fishing gave her life meaning and joy to everyone around her. She will be missed by all.
Survivors include six grandchildren, Nancy Ramm, Patty Phillips, Kathy Shifs, Jack Phillips, Ross Hudson and Todd Hudson; a niece, Carolyn Bishop; her lifelong friend Dorothy "Dot" Wisenor; and her loving sister-in-law, Victoria Love.
She is now reunited with her children whom she loved so dearly, Undine, Bill and Edwin and her husband, Selby.

Services for Mavis Ingram Brown will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Williams officiating. Burial will be in Fellowship Cemetery in Bailey.
Mrs. Brown, 87, of Shreveport, La., died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, in Shreveport.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Jean Caraway and her husband, Claude E., of Shreveport and Jo Ellen French and her husband, Cooper Michael of Alexandria, Va.; four granddaughters, Karen Schneider and Brenda Caraway, both of Shreveport, Sandra Rosson and her husband, Richard, of Richmond, Va., and Julie LeAnn French of Alexandria; two great-granddaughters, Rachal Laster and Amanda Spraggins, both of Shreveport; three great-grandsons, Anthony Laster of Shreveport and Christopher Rasson and Keaton Rasson, both of Richmond; and a brother, Dee Ingram of Natchez.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Wilson Brown; her parents, Marcus DeLayette Ingram and Lizze Antonia Fox Ingram; four brothers, John, Homer, Oscar and Earl Ingram; and three sisters, Velma Hobby, Sadie Munday and Edna Ryals.
Pallbearers will be Al Ingram, Anthony Laster, J.L. Brown, Bobby Brown, Wayne Brown and C.A. Pickard Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Ryals and Sanford Ryals.
Visitation will be held today from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Weatherspoon, 93, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Juanita Key Ervin of Meridian and Frances Key Burwell and her husband, Charles, of Corral De Tierra, Calif.; a step son, Donald W. Key of Detroit; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Visitation will be held Monday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
