THERE SHE BLOWS A temporary water line laid as part of a water expansion project in front of Bill Ethridge Lincoln-Mercury apparently worked loose Thursday, sending a spray of water about 30 feet into the air.

Meridian Public Works Director Monty Jackson said city workers had placed the temporary line while working near the area and were planning to replace the main line when the work was completed.
The line apparently erupted after workers had left for the day and water sprayed for more than an hour until a valve was closed.
