Services for Mary Elizabeth Hicks were held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dr. Wayne Riley and Dr. Danny Chisolm officiating. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Hicks, 89, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at Queen City Nursing Center. She was a retired clerk for the East Mississippi Electric Power Association. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sister, Flora Watts and her husband, Walter, of Meridian; a niece Susan Elizabeth Parker and her husband, Tom, of Sandersville; a nephew Walter W. Watts Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of Jackson; a great-niece Ashlyn Watts; and several other nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Angel D. Eakins will be held today at 11 a.m. at Pack Cemetery with the Rev. Elder Willie J. Eakins officiating. Berry &Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Baby Eakins, four-months-old, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at University Medical Center in Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Monique L. Eakins.
ROBERT LEE MCCARTER

Graveside services for Robert Lee McCarter will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Roy Dabbs officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McCarter, 87, of Meridian, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at Riley Hospital. He was born Aug. 27, 1914, and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Walterene D. McCarter, a daughter, Kay Luke, sons, Bobby McCarter and Tim McCarter, all of Meridian; a brother, Sam McCarter of Tuscaloosa, Ala; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be made to the Special Olympics or a favorite charity.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Visitation will be today from 1 p.m.-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

NEWTON Services for Annie Lorene Tillman Miles will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Beatline Baptist Church with the Rev. Clifton Thornton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Miles, 94, of Conehatta, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at Conva-Rest Nursing of Newton. She was a member of Beatline Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Pearl Lee of New Hebron; Dean Wilder of Moss Point; Minnie Anthony of Sebastopol; and Lottie Beckham of Conehatta; two sons, Harold R. Moulds of Sebastopol; and Early Miles of Taylorsville; a sister, Louise Williams of Mobile; 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Miles; two daughters, Mary Frances Moulds and Annie Sue Miles; and a son, Thomas Moulds.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

TRUSSVILLE, Ala. Services for Betty Nunnelley will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Nunnelley, 69, of Meridian, Miss., died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church in Meridian.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Muth of Pinson, and Sonji Rogers of Brandon, Miss.; grandchildren, Patrick Muth, Trent Muth, Caitlyn Rogers and Elizabeth Rogers; sisters, Ethel Lambert and Mildred Jeffers.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
